Kids Create Identification

I was putting together a Kids Create set today.  It was my first set from this company.  I noticed that some of the pieces had markings on them that could be used to identify the brand.  I didn't see any marking underneath that would identify the bricks.  Below is a picture of those markings.  I hope this helps someone out here in the net.

Lego 7146 Preston Stormer - Lego Heroes

Here's a nice example from the Lego Heroes series.  I picked up Preston Stormer and another Heroes character some time ago.  I was happy when I recently decided to see what is was (I wasn't sure if it was Bionical or not) and if it was complete.  It was, in fact, complete.

Enjoy the few pics of this complete set that I have:

Lego 75193

A few months ago when I was at a moving sell, I stumbled upon a container of random Lego blocks.  I could tell that most of the blocks were from Star Wars sets.  I didn't know if any one set was complete.  For the price, it was well worth it just for the Minifigs that I saw.

I recently pulled that container out.  With a quick scan of what was in the box Star Wars wise, the Lego set 75193 seemed to be the most complete.  Bingo, I had a project to do.  The first step was to determine what I actually had.  Google came through for me.

Next I downloaded the instructions from Lego.com.  To my happy surprise, most of the pieces were attached to the Millennium Falcon.  They were a few in the incorrect spot which were easy enough to correct.  Luckily, it didn't take much digging in the loose pieces for me to find the Minifig and the couple needed pieces to make this complete.

Lego 31024

Today I would like to showcase a set that I picked up recently at a thrift store.  I was partially built, and I was lucky that it was complete.  I got it for a steal at just $2.00.

This was a fun little set to finish putting together.  Since it was a 3-in-1 Creator set, I could have chose to go back and redo it so that it could be a dinosaur or  a plane.  I liked the way the car was looking so I decided to continue with it.  I'll need 2 more sets though to build the other options for my collection one day.  Unless, of course, I choose to scrounge up enough individual pieces to finish them.

I do want to note that the doors and hood do open on this set.

Enjoy the pics of my car:

True Heroes Police Station

Several months ago, I stumbled upon one of the MegaBloks True Heroes Police Station sets at a thrift store.  I was of course open and used.  For the price, it followed me home.  I know it is incomplete as I've started building the vehicles (a police car, boat, helicopter, paddy wagon/police van, and a criminal car) that came with the set.  Even though I like complete sets, I'll take what I can get.  Besides, this isn't the only one out there.  I may find another one day that has the missing pieces that I need to finish it.

Sometimes, the hunt for missing pieces is part of the fun.  It give me a goal when I go out looking.  Will this be the time that I finish a set or not?  I know that for some of you, that doesn't sound fun.

Anyway, one of the vehicles out if this 1000 piece set that I did finish was the helicopter. l decided today was a good day to showcase in my blog.  Below you'll find pictures of the complete helicopter.  I like to include multiple angles.  It helps to try to rebuild things when you can't seem to find the instructions online.

Enjoy:

Spongebob Squarepants Bike Racer

A few months ago, I spent a morning out going to yard sales.  I stumbled upon a moving sale that was letting items go fairly cheap.  I picked up a box of building block sets that mostly contained Lego Star Wars pieces.  I didn't know if anything was complete.

Along with the Star Wars, there were some partial Mega Bloks sets.  I put my box away for a while.  I decided to dig it out to see what I really had.  One was a complete Spongebob Squarepants Bike Racer.

There are only 85 pieces in this set.  Yet, it is well designed.  I'm looking forward to see what else is in the box.

Make-It Blocks Tower of Pisa (292925-5)

Today I put together a Make-It Blocks set that I picked up at the Dollar Tree.  Like my other Make-It Block sets, this one was imported by Greenbrier International, Inc.

The set number listed on the box is 29225-03892-005-10019.  There are 19 pieces that come in this set with a simple instruction set that can be found here.

Below you'll see a couple pictures of my actual set.
